THINKING OF SAINTS by Kevin Estrada
2005

140pages

Thinking of Saints is the first book of poems by Kevin Estrada. The collection chronicles the young writer's experiences and observations from 2003-2005. Estrada's voice resonates the youthful spite of Arthur Rimbaud, breath of Charles Olson, and simple language of William Carlos Williams and Jack Kerouac.

The highlight of Thinking of Saints is the Bookstore Blues, a series of poems dedicated to Estrada's year off from college as a full time employee at a certain nationwide bookstore chain, (an employment that ultimately ended in handcuffs).
